Agent Settings
Alongside the workflow itself, an agent has settings that control how it behaves on a call — independent of what any individual conversation node says.
Agent name
The name shown in your agent list. See Create an Agent for naming guidance.
Call management
- Max call duration — a ceiling on how long any single call is allowed to run, as a safeguard against a call that never reaches an end condition.
Voicemail detection
An agent can be configured to detect voicemail on outbound calls and respond differently — for example, leaving a message instead of talking to the beep as if it were a person.
Ambient noise
An agent can play background ambient sound during a call, with its own volume control, or use a custom audio file. This is a presentation setting, not part of the conversation logic.
Turn detection
Controls how the agent decides when a caller has finished speaking and it's the agent's turn to respond. CallMangal supports more than one detection strategy under the hood; which one is active is a platform-managed setting, not something you need to tune to get a working agent.
(Exact turn-detection behaviour is a platform-tuned setting rather than a customer control — described here at a concept level only, not as a step-by-step configuration guide, since the precise customer-facing controls are still being finalised.)
