Getting Started Overview
This page is the map. It shows the order that works, and links to the detailed guide for each step as those guides are published.
If you have not read it yet, Introduction explains what the pieces are called and how they relate.
The path
1. Get access to an account
How you get an account depends on which kind of customer you are:
- Direct customer — you sign up and manage your own organisation at app.callmangal.com.
- Reseller client — your reseller creates your client organisation and gives you access. You will not see credit top-up; your reseller manages your credits.
Not sure which you are
If someone other than CallMangal sold you the platform and their brand is on your login screen, you are a reseller client.
2. Make sure the account has credits
Calling consumes Mangal Credits. An agent cannot place or take a paid call on an empty balance, so check this before you plan a launch.
- Direct customers top up with Razorpay.
- Reseller clients receive credits by transfer from their reseller.
3. Create your first agent
Create the agent and give it the business context it needs.
→ Create an Agent, Business Context
4. Build the conversation
Open the agent's workflow in the Visual Builder and lay out the conversation: how it opens, what it asks, how it branches, what it captures, how it ends.
5. Select language and voice
Choose which language, or languages, the agent should speak in, and its voice.
6. Test it in your browser
Talk to the agent yourself before a customer does. This is the step people skip and then regret.
7. Add credits where required
Calling consumes Mangal Credits. Confirm the balance before you plan a launch — direct customers top up directly, reseller clients receive credits by transfer.
8. Connect telephony
Once the agent behaves the way you want in the browser, connect it to a phone number for inbound calls, or set it up for outbound calling.
9. Make or receive a call
Before your first real call
Confirm two things: that the account has credits, and that you have the right to call the numbers you are about to dial. You are responsible for consent, disclosure, recording notices and do-not-call obligations for the calls and campaigns you run.
10. Review the result
After the call, check what happened — the transcript, recording, captured data and outcome.
A realistic first day
A sensible first session looks like this:
- Create one agent for one workflow — not your whole business.
- Give it your business context and two or three guardrails.
- Build a short conversation: greeting, three questions, an ending.
- Browser test it. Fix what sounds wrong. Test again.
- Only then connect a number.
Starting narrow is the fastest way to get something you trust. Breadth comes after the first workflow is working.
