Create an Agent
New to CallMangal?
If this is your first agent, follow the full walkthrough instead: Create Your First Voice Agent. This page is a shorter reference for creating any agent, including your second and third.
Starting point
When you create a new agent, you describe what it's for in a short sentence — for example, "qualify leads for real estate" or "screen candidates for a support role." That description is used to generate a starting workflow for you, pre-populated with sample nodes and placeholder content for that kind of conversation.
This gives you something to test and edit immediately, rather than a blank canvas. Treat the generated workflow as a first draft — review every node, replace the sample content with your real business context, and remove anything that doesn't apply before you test it for real.
Naming
Give the agent a name you'll recognise in a list next to several others later. Use the workflow it performs, not a person's name — Site visit qualification reads clearly six months from now; Riya does not.
After creation
A newly created agent is a draft. Before it can take a real call, it needs:
- Real business context — not the generated sample
- Guardrails
- A reviewed conversation flow
- A language and voice that match your customers
- A browser test pass, before any real caller reaches it
